Assistance for companies

Our experience and capabilities in collaboration with the industry

The Department of Chemical Engineering of the UCLM has been characterized since its establishment, more than 25 years ago, by its capability for applied research and the transfer of knowledge to local companies and others at a national and international level.

As a result, the researchers who make up the EARTH group have worked on and directed more than 50 research and service provision projects with companies and institutions. We therefore have the necessary means, knowledge and experience to address individually and with guarantees of success the needs in terms of research and development, as well as chemical analysis and advice, of companies and institutions in the field of chemical and environmental engineering.

Technological means we have

  • All types of physical-chemical analysis equipment for water, waste and soil.
  • Bench-scale plants (5 L/h): electrodialysis, PEM-type fuel cells, microbiological cells, bioremediation, phytoremediation, electro-bioremediation and electro-phytoremediation of soils.
  • Pilot-scale plants (100 L/h): subsurface wetlands, biological water treatment, rotary drum composting.
  • Prototype-scale plant (8 x 4 x 2 m) for soil treatment by phyto/bio/electroremediation.

Services we can offer

  • Analysis and physical-chemical characterization of urban and industrial wastewater.
  • Industrial wastewater treatment studies.
  • Studies of reuse of treated wastewater.
  • Analysis and characterization of contaminated soils and agricultural and industrial waste.
  • Soil decontamination studies.
  • Technical advice on the management and treatment of waste, wastewater and contaminated soil.
